Buying in bulk is the ultimate way to be kinder to your wallet, and to the earth.
A simple way to reduce post-consumer waste, eliminate excess packaging, save money, buy fresh, and only in quantities that you need is to shop in our bulk department.
Mississippi Market offers dozens of self-service bins loaded with grains, rice, beans, pasta, shelled nuts, coffee, teas, spices, granola, dried fruits, candy and more. We even carry liquid bulk items including maple syrup, honey, oils, soaps, shampoos and laundry detergent. Fresh bulk peanut and nut butters are available in bulk for self-serve dispensing at our West Seventh location. Forget your bottles and jars at home, or new to bulk shopping? Fear not, we carry reusable containers to stash your goods too, such as glass & plastic bottles of all sizes.
We also offer a full-service meat counter at our West 7th location serving locally produced beef, pork, and lamb that are all cut and ground in-house. Buy only in quantities that you need, such as two sausage links, or three chicken breasts, allowing you to have the freshest meats for your meals. We’re even buying in bulk now that our West 7th location butchers, cuts, and grinds most of the meats for both stores – now that’s cooperation!
Buying in bulk is also a great way to save money. Buying concentrated products can reduce the cost of packaging and shipping – making the price you pay smaller, too! Additionally, if you’re only buying in quantities that you need, money won’t be wasted on excess foods.
Be kind to yourself and to the planet; buy in bulk!
